It's pretty unbelievable, but we still haven't received the BOMB THE MUSIC INDUSTRY LP jackets. We thought they were coming in last friday, but nada. The latest update is that the jackets are shipping from Florida today or tomorrow. This means we'll have them by next Thursday and we'll ship out all the vinyl orders by friday. We didn't make an announcement last week, but obviously some noticed that the SCRAMBLES LP is up on our website as we got a ton of orders the past week. So here I am announcing the not so suprising news that yes you can start ordering these LP'S. Here's the pressing info:
300 on green vinyl which is exclusive to VINYL COLLECTIVE. They have 22 left, so good luck getting that. We have exactly 500 on decoder red vinyl. I am sending 200 to Jeff, which leaves us with 300 for mailorder. FUN FUN FUN Man, I hope it looks good as this was way too much trouble. Jeff Rosenstock. AGAIN, damn you and your mad scientist genius mind. It's been almost 4.5 months since we turned in this project. ARGGHHH!!!

Ok, here's more crazy news. Matt Caterer of the smoking popes had asked me a few months back about asian man working with the popes and in particular their back catalog. Well, being a huge fan I of course was very excited and so I am here to confirm the following releases to be coming out on asian man:
RELEASE #1: A compilation of the following 7 inches: INNOCULATOR, BREAK UP, and 2. These 3 7inches plus at least one unreleased song from this era will make up release #1 which will come out on both CD and VINYL.
RELEASE #2: A re-release of GET FIRED. New artwork, re-mastered, etc. etc.. Now you don't have to pay $39.95 for a new copy on EBAY. We'll again be releasing on CD and VINYL.
RELEASE #3: Re-release of BORN TO QUIT. Same info. as Get Fired. Just making it more accessible and affordable.

The first release will come out in the fall of this year. The band will accompany each release with a record release show in Chicago. And who knows.. Maybe more touring. I guess it depends on how excited people are about the re-releases. We'll see ..

Here's more info. on the ASIAN MAN RECORDS 13 YEAR ANNIVERSARY show on AUGUST 1st at the OAKLAND COLISEUM. Well, of course we're not playing the real coliseum, but will pull a generator into the parking lot before the A'S game and do a commando DIY show. We’ll be set up in the far north corner of the parking lot right next to the freeway. Look for a white tent that blazes PLEA FOR PEACE on top situated next to a red van. Basically, as soon as they open the gates, we’ll set up and start putting bands on. Hopefully we don’t get shut down. Everything of course is totally free and there will be complimentary hot dogs, sodas, and beer for those of you who are 21+. Here's a list of bands playing thus far. We should have a couple special surprise guests too.
