DO YOU BOOK DIY SHOWS?-All of you who book shows across the United States or
actually anywhere in the world, get in touch. Trying to build a good network of
DIY venues/promoters for Asian Man Records bands. So get in touch if you can
help with booking. firstname.lastname@example.org
TRADES: Anybody live in the bay area?? Near San Francisco? Want to trade stuff
for Asian Man cds, shirts, etc. What free stuff you ask?? Basically
anything...if you work in a restaurant, theater, any type of entertainment like
arcades, batting cages, amusement parks, blah blah....anything. Let's trade!!
Anything we have at Asian Man is up for trade. BOOYAH!!
Just a quick one.....
ATTENTION...for those who are going and bought tickets to the SLIM'S show or thee PARKSIDE shows, did you receive an email confirmation from me saying you got tickets? If you never heard back from me, then email me to confirm you have tickets. I would hate for there to be a mix up and for those who bought tickets somehow being overlooked by an email not going through. That would be no fun. So please shoot me an email if you are in doubt at email@example.com
3 weeks away from the asian man 15 year anniversary. Hard to believe it's almost here. Very excited, but also very stressed out by the many little details that go along with hosting a 10 show event with 40 bands. But it's all worth it..
You can find most of the details on the event at asianmanrecords.com/amr15fest.php
And we have a http://facebook.com/asianman15year where people can communicate with locals and other out of towners. It's neat to see people from all over the world bonding over asian man. Lots of people are getting together before the Slapstick show on June 15th and I see some people have made plans to go to Alcatraz before a show. Anyways, yeah.. I'm geeking out cause I love that stuff. I love that people can be thousands of miles away and still feel some sense of community through music.
And we will be hosting a BBQ on June 18th at thee parkside from 2:30-6:30 PM. Free food, hanging out, and some acoustic jams by various bands and such. Ok, that's it. just wanted to shoot out an email about the anniversary and to just make sure everyone knows what's going on. Feel free to ask questions if in doubt.
Finally, a quick request from a friend Leslie who runs a small label called SIDE WITH US RECORDS(indie stuff-Velvet Teen, etc). She's looking for an intern who wants to get into the publicity aspect of the music business. If so, you can contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org
And finally finally.. Does anyone work for Adobe? Can anyone get us a Design Suite cheap? Or does anyone have a fully licensed copy of Adobe CS3 they want to sell us cheap.
peace, mike park
