I'm listening to the SPECIALS s/t album from 1979 and my goodness it's a really friggin good record. Can it really be 32 years ago that this came out? Did you know Elvis Costello produced this record? Anyways, SKA is good man. Some people like to make fun of it, but heck.. i like it.

So yeah, here's some ska news for you.
Got the master for the new DAN P AND THE BRICKS album. Sounds pretty amazing. For those who aren't familiar, Dan Potthast fronts this band along with AJ, MATT, BRENDAN, and PHIL form SLOW GHERKIN. 10 piece band with five piece horn section and wow. Beautiful. Imagine a more mid tempo MU330/SLOW GHERKIN record with just a wall of harmonies blowing us away. Dan's wife even lends her vocal talents and yeah...SKA SKA SKA....Maybe I should start a new SKA band? Hmmmm......

MONKEY is heading off tomorrow for a 3 week tour of EUROPE. They all work day jobs and have been saving their money to pay for plane tickets. I talked to the singer CURT last night and he told me the goal was to lose no more than $3,000. DOH!!! Pretty amazed that they are just going for it and hoping people show up. So it would be much appreciated if you can help spread the word to friends you have in any of these cities below. Also, they have 2 days they're still trying to fill, so if you happen to book shows and can help with that it would be much appreciated. Here's the info:
