Howzit y'all!! Sorry for taking forever to write a new newsletter, but I've been pre-occupied writing a daily journal at mikeparkmusic.com that I've totally ignored this site and that's not very nice of me. Sorry!! Before I forget, I need to ask if any web masters would be willing to be the webmaster for pleaforpeace.com ??? Anyone. I need someone who really has the experience and time to work on this site as we hope to get more active with our site. If interested, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org THANKS!!(No longer looking for a webmaster....Found someone. His name is Josef Buchanan!! Thanks Josef) I'm super sick right now. Yes..the flu.. The good news perhaps is that I got sick early in the cold/flu season and that I won't get sick again? Is that too optimistic? Hmmm... It would be even worse if this translated into getting sick several more times. I dont' want that. That's no fun. Oh well. We'll see what happens I guess. Lots of great stuff going on in the world of Asian Man. I just came out with my own solo record. MIKE PARK-For the Love Of Music. You better buy it!! Just kidding. You don't have to, but if you do then I'll be super happy. There's an article that just came out in the local weekly arts paper about the record. Here's a link:http://metroactive.com/papers/metro/11.13.03/park-0346.html
I traveled to Chicago a few weeks ago and hung out with new bands and new people for me:DUVALL and JUST A FIRE and saw tons of neat people that I know in Chi-town and met a lot of new friends. Spent Halloween there and really had a great time. Didn't want to leave. I could definitely live in Chicago, but people would say "Wait til' it snows...Then see if you want to live here". Ok.. Got it. Traveling is fun? Don't you think so. I love being some place foreign and just trying new stuff. It's so exciting and fresh. Being at home can be stale and boring. You get caught in a rut and you just don't get motivated. I'm pretty good at doing new things, but I definitely notice that when I'm at home I engulf myself with work. Perhaps it's because I need to or perhaps it's because it's out of habit. I don't know what the heck I'm trying to say. Blah blah blah...It's hard to believe the year is almost up. I'm either freaking out about nothing or did 2003 just come and go? And wasn't it just 1999? Holy schmoly.. This is ridiculous. Well, have yourselves a great Thanksgiving holiday. Whether you celebrate Thanksgiving or not, just remember to spend time with your family and cherish that. The political meanings behind Thanksgiving can really put things in extremes, so it's nice to just say be thankful always.
Peace, Mike Park
