Happy Tuesday! Happy May 1st!!
I'm gearing up for CINCO DE MOUSTACHE!! My face is ablaze with grotesque facial gatherings. But it seems the trend now is beards, beards, and more beards!!! Strangely I fit in, but once CINCO DE MOUSTACHE passes, this face will be clean shaven. My chin is irritated. I feel gross. How do you Hot Water Music lovers handle all the facial hair? Please teach me?

Ok, here's the fun fun fun fun news we have for you. Besides the truck load of 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY POSTERS, we didn't do anything special last year, so the decision to have an 11 year anniversary party is upon us. As you may or may not remember....We used to host an Asian Man Records day at an Oakland A's game. We bypassed last year, but the previous year we rented a generator, set up a PA, and just started having punk bands play music. Security didn't kick us out and we made it through three bands.

On July 21st, we will celebrate the 11th year anniversary of Asian Man Records with the following bands:
THE LAWRENCE ARMS
DAN POTTHAST
THE HOT TODDIES
ANDREW JACKSON JIHAD
PTERADON and SHINOBU

Here's the info:
The gates open at 4 PM ish. We'll be set up in the far north corner of the parking lot right next to the freeway. Look for a white tent that blazes PLEA FOR PEACE on top situated next to a red van. Basically, as soon as they open the gates, we'll set up and start putting bands on. Hopefully we don't get shut down, but the chance to do a DIY show in the parking lot of the Oakland Coliseum is too good. Everything of course is totally free and we will provide complimentary hot dogs, sodas, and beer for those of you who are 21+.

A bunch of us will also be watching the game. So if you want to see the game and sit together as a group, then just buy the cheapest ticket which is upper reserve and meet us in SECTION 238. By the way it's the A's vs. the Mariners. GO A'S!!!

On to other news:
We are putting out the album from BOMB THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. Scheduled to come out in August of 07 and will be titled "GET WARMER". Check out some tunes at myspace.com/bombthemusicindustry

There's so many releases coming out, I can barely keep track. Is this a good thing or bad thing? What do you say? Keep em' coming or are you having the same troubles keeping track? Hmmmmm.... Well....regardless we'll just keep plugging away.

Finally, I appreciate the feedback from the last newsletter. It was quite inspiring to receive so many comments from like minded folk. I am excited to get back on tour next year. There's something about meeting people from all over the United States and abroad whom share some kind of bond with you. Even though it's something as minimal as a favorite band, but there's no denying that Asian Man fans no matter how small are good people whom understand the art of being nice. You know what I mean? Do you like nice people? I sure do.
